Abstract Detail

Conference Wide

Kirchoff, Bruce [1].

Present your work in three minutes.

Short presentations teach you the most important presentation skills you can learn: focusing on your central message, the use of clear visuals, and connection with the audience. You will learn these skills, and more, in this interactive workshop. Every participant will present and receive positive feedback by the end of the workshop. Those who want, can also receive constructive suggestions for improvement. An added benefit of the workshop is that it will prepare you for competing in a 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) competition, if your university hosts one. Before the workshop please prepare a single PowerPoint slide that expresses the central idea that you want to convey about your work. A link to an upload site will be emailed you a few days before the workshop. You should upload you slide to this site prior to leaving for Tucson. There will be time to revise you slide and prepare your three-minute talk during the workshop. Presentations will be held during the final hour. Please bring your laptop to the workshop.
