Strategies for successful faculty/undergraduate student collaborative research at Primarily Undergraduate Institutions. Achieving research that is meaningful to both undergraduates and their faculty mentors is a key challenge for faculty at primarily undergraduate institutions (PUIs). Join us for a 2-hour session that explores opportunities and pitfalls for mentored undergraduate research. Topics to be discussed include strategies for structuring a successful research program at PUIs, for managing faculty and student expectations, for sustaining student involvement throughout the research process, andĀ for producing tangible research outcomes that benefit faculty & students.
