Phylogenomics Weinheimer, Ellen [1], Pease, James [2], Whitener, Makenzie [3]. Initial analyses of Magnolia genome data. Magnoliids are the subject of ongoing evolutionary debate both in their relationships to other core angiosperm clades and due to the unusual morphology, biochemistry, and genetic diversity that has evolved within the group. However, no large-scale study has incorporated Magnolia genome data into phylogenetic reconstructions. We present a preliminary assembly of the Magnolia virginiana genome and phylogenomic comparative data on M. macrophylla and hexaploid M. grandiflora. Log in to add this item to your schedule
